The Unchanging Foundation of Video Distribution – Transport Stream: The "Ultimate Survival Protocol"
In this episode, we focus on the Transport Stream (TS) — the "ultimate survival protocol" of the video distribution world. Why does TS remain so widely used today? We dive deep into how it continues to support stable delivery not only in traditional broadcast environments such as satellite, terrestrial, and cable, but also in mobile IP networks and the latest TR-07-based production environments.

AI100 Gains IP Stream Fault Simulation and Advanced Signal Analysis Capabilities
A major update to the AI100 platform has been announced. New features include IP stream fault simulation and detailed signal analysis capabilities for ST 2110 and IP-based broadcast workflows.
As the broadcast industry transitions to fully IP-based operations, maintaining signal quality in live environments remains a significant challenge. Issues such as packet jitter, burst packet loss, and timing instability are difficult to reproduce and can have a serious impact on production quality. This AI100 enhancement directly addresses these challenges, supporting both pre-deployment validation and troubleshooting.

Cyanview Camera Control System Use Case from the Milano Olympics

We are introducing a real-world example of how Cyanview products solved key challenges in figure skating shooting on ice:
- Operators skating on ice — fully wireless operation was essential
- During performances, lighting alternates between spotlights and full arena illumination, requiring real-time exposure correction for high-contrast scenes
- The need for live shading from the control room while camera operators focus on framing and skating
- Camera operators also requiring the ability to make instant local adjustments (iris, gain)
All of these were resolved using Cyanview products.
